La Double J
Heart Mandalas & Phenakistoscope Mandalas
La Double J asked us to translate few sentences that would express the concept of the typical Milanese woman into their windows.
We presented these phrases as if they were the layers of a mandala, using the concentric layout to communicate the idea of expansion, energy and growth .
The LDJ mandala is heart-shaped. It is composed of different materials, from real metal forks to paper sculptures.
In the small windows graphic compositions create narratives, and rotating discs at the centre add movement, illusion effects and bring the concentric idea to its extreme.
