Romanengo
The Cornucopia and the Mouse-hole
The historical confectionery Romanengo, founded in Genova in 1780, opened a new shop in Milano. The Milanese location presents a confectionery, a spices boutique and a tea salon that perpetuate the roots and expertise of the House.
We were asked to create a permanent installation that would celebrate the logo of the brand: the cornucopia. We reinterpreted it into a bass relief wall sculpture entirely made of paper. Some butterflies fly away from the cornucopia towards the windows of the shops and create a frame for the products displayed.
Moreover, we have added a surprise aspect to the boutique. In fact, if one looks down to the floor, they will find a little mouse-hole. Its inhabitants are two little mice chefs that cook in their miniature confectionary laboratory.
